Development Process, Timing and Applications
Marriage Licences and Civil Ceremonies:
- The Town of Petrolia is pleased to be participating Phase 2 of Marriage Licence Modernization. Please apply for apply for your marriage licence using the provincial Marriage Licence Application Portal and select the Town of Petrolia as the location you would like to pick up your licence.
- Once the completed application is submitted, you will be contacted by the Clerk’s Department to schedule an appointment to pick up your marriage licence and pay the applicable fee.
- PLEASE NOTE: Originals of IDs and any divorce certificates MUST be presented for validation when you come to collect your marriage license.
- The Town of Petrolia provides the service of completing Civil Marriages, please contact Mandi Pearson, Clerk at mpearson@petrolia.ca or 519-882-2350 ext. 221

- When a dog is registered, a permanent tag will be issued for that dog
- All dog owners will be invoiced annually in January
- Onus is on the dog owner to update our records

Lottery Licensing:
The Town of Petrolia issues licences as a licensing authority for the Registrar of Alcohol and Gaming (AGCO), all organization eligible for lottery licensing must abide the rules and regulations of the AGCO http://www.agco.on.ca/pdfs/en/terms_cond/4240_g.pdf FAQ for Lottery Events: FAQ for website – lottery
