The Town of Petrolia is pleased to announce that longtime employee, Julie Bullock, has accepted the position as the new Director of Parks, Recreation and Facilities following an internal process.
Ms. Bullock brings over 17 years of experience with the municipality, including her role as an integral part of the Oil Heritage District Community Centre wellness management team, education in Fitness and Health Promotion, and a proven record of leadership in payroll and financial reporting. Ms. Bullock is dedicated to the community and is passionate about community development and enrichment and has a strong background in leading and motivating teams and cross-functional collaboration. Ms. Bullock said, “…I am looking forward to continuing to foster the sense of community that Petrolia is known for, and to oversee the major projects and exciting new facilities that will continue to strengthen Petrolia and create an even more family-friendly hub for recreation.”
Rick Charlebois, Chief Administrative Officer/Treasurer said, “Julie brings a unique blend of experience to the Senior Management Team and has a clear understanding of the pivotal role that recreation programming and activities play in fostering healthy and connected communities. We are pleased to welcome her to this position.”
This change comes following the retirement of long-time dedicated employee Dave Menzies, that retired early fall of this year.
