TELEPHONE AND INTERNET VOTING
The Town of Petrolia is pleased to offer these fast facts about the 2018 Online and Telephone Voting System for the Municipal Election!
- Intellivote Systems Inc.(ISI) is a Nova Scotia based technology company that is recognized as the Canadian eVoting leader in Internet and telephone voting. ISI started supporting elections in 2006, and has a consistently growing customer base.
- Through extensive training of our Municipal Staff, ISI will ensure that the process for voting is simple for all voters.
ONLINE VOTING
- The Internet option has been designed for ease of use! Step by step instructions will be mailed to all eligible voters before the voting period begins, and the Voter HelpLine will be available to answer any questions.
- Is it secure? Yes! ISI has taken every precaution to protect your information.
- I don’t have a computer! Not to worry, Town Hall will have three systems available during the 10-day election process, the Petrolia Library is available, and you can always choose to vote by telephone!
- I don’t know a thing about computers! That’s why we’re here! Town Staff will be available throughout the process to answer questions, and the Voter HelpLine is a quick call away!
- ISI is fully (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act) AODA compliant. Your adaptive devices will work with this software.

TELEPHONE VOTING
- The Telephone voting option is also very straight-forward, and with the mailed step by step instructions, voters will be able to navigate the steps with ease from the comfort of home, your winter getaway, or workplace.
