December 21, 2021
I wanted to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, a holiday season filled with joy and peace, and a healthy 2022.
I am so proud of our community in the ways that we have all come together, safely, over the past 18 months to support our downtown, to help our friends and neighbours, to follow the guidelines set out by the Province of Ontario, and for your continued kindness to one another.
With the new COVID-19 variant Omicron being at the forefront of our minds, and in keeping with our mandate to continue to advise our residents of changes to existing protocols and requirements passed on by the Province of Ontario, and we have made that notice available at www.town.petrolia.on.ca. Further, we encourage all residents to register at your first opportunity for your first, second or booster dose of the vaccines available.
I am pleased that we were able to join in celebration of Christmas as a community in a safe manner at the beginning of December, and I look forward to being able to gather with you all when it is appropriate and safe to do so.
From my family to yours, I wish you a safe and Merry Christmas and all the very best in 2022.
