The Rotary Club of Petrolia Makes Two Generous Donations to Petrolia

Petrolia – The Oil Heritage District Community Centre has a brand new NuStep machine, thanks to the generosity of The Rotary Club of Petrolia.  The NuStep is for members to use to improve their cardiovascular fitness by using a closed kinetic chain exercise motion.  Exercise on the NuStep can also reduce stress, help you sleep better, improve muscle strength and tone, give you more energy and help you control body weight.  The Rotary Club of Petrolia invested more than $5000 for the new equipment.

Further, The Rotary Club of Petrolia has continued their work on Woodland Park by adding an accessible swing.  Over the past few years they have donated a pavilion, a half-court basketball court, solar lighting, swing sets and spring riders to the Park that is located just off Gem Avenue and Garfield Avenue.

Mayor John McCharles said, “The Rotary Club of Petrolia are an outstanding community partner.  We are extremely grateful for their generosity when it comes to many projects in Petrolia and for what they contribute to our community.”
