Petrolia Parks and Recreation DRAFT Master Plan Virtual Open House

Through research and public input, the Draft Parks and Recreation Master Plan examines parks and recreation services and establishes priorities that align with the Council of the Town of Petrolia’s strategic priorities. The Draft Parks and Recreation Master Plan explores various topic areas including indoor and outdoor recreation facilities, special events, parks, open spaces, and trails.

In November of 2019 residents were encouraged to participate in a series of open houses and an online survey to help shape the Draft Parks and Recreation Master Plan. Follow up with user groups and targeted residents and Council took place in January and February of 2020.

The next step in the process of a completed Parks and Recreation Master Plan was to host more open houses once the draft was available. As the Province of Ontario declared a State of Emergency and continues to take significant steps to limit the transmission of the COVID-19 virus, the Town of Petrolia remains committed to protecting the health and safety of the public, Council, and employees, while enabling community engagement to provide feedback on the Draft Parks and Recreation Master Plan prior to finalization for Council.

A Virtual Open House has been created to provide an opportunity for the public to review the Draft Parks and Recreation Master Plan and provide feedback prior to finalization for Council.
